JTCA’s Vision
To provide more freedom to end-of-life care
Japan needs systems in which people are free to think ‘outside the box’, without being constrained by insurance for nursing care and fees for medical treatment. We think that there are many caregivers who have already realized this.
The JTCA wants to work with all of you to build a system that provides more freedom to end-of-life care.
Our Mission
Making connections between people a societal value
Currently, end-of-life care tends to be focused on medical treatment. But at the end of their lives, people need the support of a diverse array of sectors: medical care, nursing care, social welfare, government, private sector companies, the local community and so on.
By learning and discussing such issues freely, people form connections with one another. Such connections between people can encourage society to take action.
Here, each person who provides care can play a leading role. If you want to change, if you want to take action, we offer our full support.
What is the Japan Terminal Care Association?
The JTCA is an association where people with diverse points of view can go beyond boundaries of business sector, region and position to work together on end-of-life care in Japan.
We train people so they can both acquire knowledge and skills in end-of-life care while also learning about fields of study other than healthcare. These individuals will play a key role in the coming so called ‘society with a high number of deaths’ that will result from a population of super-aging people dying, while the population overall is declining.
Professional Certification
We offer 4 certifications in the Japan Terminal Care Association. You can deepen your learning in a step-by-step approach about end-of-life care.
Official textbooks
We develop textbooks specialized for each certification.
